Joe Wawrzyniak recently reviewed "Gifted" for webzine Jersey Beat, writing:

"The latest album from this eclectic and ambitious Los Angeles group offers a tasty array of diverse elements that range from raw gritty blues to elegant orchestral pop to full-speed-ahead all-out rock’n’roll, exceptionally well crafted, played, and arranged. In fact, the musical proficiency on display throughout really makes this one to relish, with smooth vocals, shimmering keyboards, percolating basslines, and snazzy guitar riffs all carefully creating a sound that’s as shiny, polished, and streamlined as a new car straight off the factory line. Beautiful stuff."

New album "Gifted" available November 20

August 03, 2012

The Jigsaw Seen have scrapped their plans to release a "Winterland" deluxe edition and will be releasing the brand new album "Gifted" in its place. The band recorded three new songs in March intended as "Winterland" bonus tracks. In May, they added two more to make it a companion EP. The band was so happy with the results that last month they re-worked a "Winterland" leftover ("The More You Change") and wrote and recorded four additional songs to make the new release a full album. The band considers "Gifted" to be a sequel to their critically acclaimed album "Winterland," with all ten songs also having a winter theme. "Gifted" includes The Jigsaw Seen's version of David Bowie's "Sell Me A Coat," which was originally intended to be a "Winterland" bonus track. "Gifted" will be released in the US by BDC on November 20 and in the UK by Code 7 on December 3.
