Teddy inducted into Wisconsin Music Hall Of Fame

Teddy Freese of The Jigsaw Seen (along with the members of Teddy's 1980s band Yipes) will be inducted into the Wisconsin Area Music Industry Hall Of Fame tonight at Turner Hall in Miwaukee. Teddy will join previous inductees Les Paul, Liberace, Violent Femmes and others. Congratulations Teddy!

The Jigsaw Seen's Jonathan Lea is mentioned in a new article on Dave Davies' forthcoming album "I Will Be Me" posted by UK magazine UNCUT on its website. The Jigsaw Seen appear on the tracks "The Healing Boy" and "Midnight In LA" from "I Will Be Me," which will be released on June 4, 2013.

Japanese TV/radio personality George Williams ranked the video for The Jigsaw Seen's debut single "Jim Is The Devil" (released in 1989) at #3 on this week's video countdown, with the legendary Japanese band Shonen Knife at #4. This is The Jigsaw Seen's fourth video to reach the Top 5 in the past 5 months, following "Open Up The Box Pandora" (#2 in October), "The More You Change" (#1 in January) and "Baby Elephant Walk" (#3 in February).
George recently posted the following (translated by Mike Rogers) on his website: "Well, I wish I had found out about The Jigsaw Seen a little sooner than I did. I first heard about them two years ago but really got into them last year! I think everyone has a band that, when they become a fan of, they wished they'd have heard about that artist long ago. This is the debut single from The Jigsaw Seen from way back in 1989! The very first moment I heard this band I thought, 'I like this sound!' I'm looking forward to some more great stuff from these guys in the future."

InterFM in Japan ("Tokyo's Number One Music Station") continued to play "Baby Elephant Walk" and "We Women" and also added "Jesus Of Hollywood" from The Jigsaw Seen's debut album "Shortcut Through Clown Alley," released in 1990.
InterFM DJ George Williams recently posted the following quote on his website: "At #3 this week is The Jigsaw Seen. This band debuted in 1989 but I just found out about them last year! Nevertheless, in this short time I've grown to love their sound like I have been listening to them for years! The very first moment I heard this band, I thought, "Wow!" these guys have "it!" Music On Television VJ George Williams ranked The Jigsaw Seen's "Baby Elephant Walk" (released by Del-Fi Records in 1996) at #3 on this week's video chart in Japan. This is The Jigsaw Seen's third video to chart there, following "The More You Change" reaching #1 last month and "Open Up The Box Pandora" reaching #2 in October. George posted the following quote (translated from Japanese) on his website:
"The Jigsaw Seen. Get the moment I heard! I feel the music is important! It is a band that is well over the radio."

The Jigsaw Seen's drummer, Teddy Freese, will be inducted into the Wisconsin Area Music Industry Hall Of Fame on April 14. Previous inductees include Les Paul, The Violent Femmes and Liberace.

"Gifted" continues to be added at radio stations in the US and Canada, reaching #40 last week on the CMJ World Chart! Many stations played The Jigsaw Seen's version of David Bowie's "Sell Me A Coat" with David's new single "Where Are We Now?"
Of the 672 albums played at College Radio this week, "Gifted" was ranked #89 (based on airplay) at College Radio Charts.
